Cooling tower motors power the fans in cooling towers. These motors are designed to operate in 100% humidity. They feature anti-corrosion coating, along with V-ring and umbrella seals on both end shields, to help to keep water out and protect the motor bearings from moisture. These motors can be operated shaft up, down, or horizontal. These motors feature a totally enclosed, air-over design, which utilize airflow from driven or external devices to provide cooling air flow over the motor. They are not airtight or waterproof.
